Taster #1 started with an Insalata Caprese that looked the part but lacked the fresh, ripe ingredients that give this dish its iconic simplicity. It was saved by a Cotoletta Bolognese that delivered in spades—rich, perfectly seasoned, and paired with thoughtful sides. The meat was high quality, cooked with a confident hand.

Taster #2’s Saltimbocca ala Romana was an intriguing dish. While well-seasoned and featuring tender meat, it failed to capture the authentic essence of its Roman roots, leaving one to wonder if authenticity was even the goal.

The food and drinks offer revealed some ambition but played it safe. While the wine selection impressed with its range and impeccable serving temperature, the rest of the bar menu felt pedestrian in contrast to the finesse of the main courses.

Steak & Pizza Restoran Dimitrije sits tucked away like a well-kept secret, an elegant venue where modern flair meets cozy charm. The ambiance whispers sophistication with stylish decor and appropriate lighting that bathes the room in a warm glow.

As we settled in, Taster #1 dove into the Tagliata. The steak was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection—rich in taste with quality meat that melted in the mouth. The matching side dishes complemented the main without overshadowing it.

Taster #2 opted for the Duck Drumstick. While the side dishes were harmonious, the meat itself was mildly flavored and not cooked to its full potential. It left something to be desired in terms of depth and execution.

The offer is appealing enough, with a full bar and an ordinary drink selection that doesn’t particularly stand out but gets the job done. The food menu catches the eye, promising a satisfying experience.

Service was friendly, with the waiter attending to our needs promptly. The arrival of the bill was swift upon request. The table settings featured clean utensils, napkins, and decent quality dinnerware and glassware. Salt and pepper mills added a nice touch, and the utensils were appropriate for the cuisine served.

At Pomodoro, we embarked on a culinary adventure with mixed results.

The experience began on a high note, as Taster 1 dove into the Braccio di Ferro pizza. The dough was nice and the topping delicious, making for a well-seasoned, generously-portioned pie.

Taster 2’s Cornelia salad followed suit, boasting fresh vegetables, and echoing the tastiness and well-seasoned flavors of Taster 1’s pizza.

But Pomodoro’s food and drinks offer didn’t quite reach the stars. The full bar was marred by an ordinary drink selection, and while the entrée dishes were varied, the food quality was merely average. Large portions, however, saved the day.

Service-wise, Pomodoro was unpretentious and efficient. Bills arrived quickly, spices were available, and everything – from menu papers to dinnerware – was clean. The friendly waiter was a welcome touch in this rustic setting.

As for the ambience, the garden and lighting arrangement provided a pleasant backdrop, but the boring decor and rustic interior left a little something to be desired.

In conclusion, our Pomodoro dining experience was a solid 3 out of 5. It’s a place where you can enjoy a decent meal with friends, but it won’t leave you raving. A reliable spot for casual dining, but not quite worthy of the culinary pantheon.
